Redleaf scholarship program
Bringing distinctive voices to the table:
The Redleaf Scholarships
The Redleaf Scholarships were created in 2014 with a generous gift from Andy Redleaf '75 and his family. The intent of the endowment was to create a scholarship program as distinctive as SPA itself.
Redleaf Scholars are selected from the applicant pool for the Middle and Upper Schools. Candidates for the Redleaf Scholarship must be United States citizens who are applicants to SPA for grades 6, 7, 8, or 9; current students are not eligible to apply.
A different kind of scholarship: The Redleaf Scholarships are merit-based awards that contribute up to 50% of each year’s tuition from the time students enter the school in grades 6-9 until graduation.
For a different kind of student: Redleaf Scholars possess keen minds and an unflagging intellectual curiosity. They stand apart because they have an original point of view and a different way of looking at the world.
At a different kind of school: In our unique accountable classrooms, students have a responsibility to engage and contribute because the school is only as good as the students and teachers make it, together. Redleaf Scholars will find peers to match their intellectual energy and engage in respectful but passionate discussion – enriching the experience for everyone. Our student:teacher ratio of 8:1 allows distinctive talents to flourish and blossom.
Redleaf Scholarships are a new and important way that SPA is working to shape the minds and the hearts of the people who will change the world.
