On Friday, February 15, SPA boys' basketball improved to 13-7 on the season and defeated Washington Technical Magnet School 71-57.
Senior forward Ryan Moore helped get the Spartans going in the opening minutes of the game but Washington responded and limited the Spartans to a two-point lead at halftime. After the break, the Spartans came out firing and created some breathing room thanks to several key defensive outings as well as strong shooting by sophomore guard Adam Holod. Washington continued to pressure but the Spartans were too much to handle as they walked away with a hard-fought 14 point victory. Adam Holod finished with a game-high 27 points and senior Ryan Moore added 19 points of his own.
The Spartans are back in action on Wednesday night as they travel to take on Twin Cities Academy at 7 p.m. Go Spartans!
