Spartan boys' basketball advanced to 14-9 on the regular season with a victory over Heritage Christian Academy, 78-44. The Spartans were ready to play on Tuesday, February 26 as they celebrated Senior night. To celebrate the special evening, seniors Ryan Moore, Will Christakos, Andrew Johnson, Ethan Less, and Sawyer Johnson all took the floor together to start the last regular season home game and SPA came out firing, opening the game up with a 12-0 run. The team's dominance continued throughout the game; Moore was a force down low and Johnson and Andrew Holod '21 were shooting lights-out from the three-point range. The Spartans found themselves leading by 19 at halftime and never took their foot off the gas. The Spartan seniors went out with a bang and even gave freshmen brothers Clarke and Brandt Baskerville a chance to showcase their skills as they finished the game with 11 points combined. Holod finished with a game-high 22 points, Moore finished with 15 points, and Johnson added 14 points of his own.
The Spartans are back in action on Wednesday, February 27 as they travel to Blake for their last conference game of the season. Tip-off is at 7 p.m. Go Spartans!
