The 10-4 SPA boys' basketball defeated Mounds Park Academy 75-53 on Wednesday, January 23.
The score went back and forth in the opening minutes of the game as both teams were hot from three-point range. The Spartans were able to create some breathing room thanks in part to lights-out shooting by sophomore guard Adam Holod. Holod scored 17 of his career-high 26 points in the first half to give the Spartans a 12 point lead at halftime. After the break, SPA came out firing and never looked back. Senior forward Ryan Moore finished in double-digits again with 19 points, while senior guard Will Christakos also added 9 points.
