With three straight wins under their belt, boys' basketball fought for a fourth in their Friday, December 21 game against Hope Academy. In the early minutes of the game, the Spartans found themselves trailing by double-digits. Sophomore point guard Adam Holod was able to give the team a spark with back to back three-pointers to push the deficit back down to single-digits but the team trailed 25-32 going into halftime. Seniors Ryan Moore and Andrew Johnson led the way in the second-half as the Spartans came roaring back and secured the lead. The Spartans were able to push the lead into double-digits thanks in part to 22 points from Moore, and 17 points from Johnson. Despite a late push from Hope Academy, SPA was able to hold on, secure the win, and advance to 5-1 for the season. Final score: 74-60.
The Spartans are back home on Saturday, December 29, as they take on Highland Park at 4 p.m. Go Spartans!
