On Saturday, December 29, SPA boy’s basketball won their fifth game in a row by defeating St. Paul Highland Park, 71-61.
The Spartans started sluggishly and found themselves trailing early against the Scots. Senior forward Ryan Moore was able to get things going early as he scored 13 first-half points to help the Spartans tie up the game as the team went into halftime. In the second half, things came together for boys when sophomore guard Adam Holod couldn't be stopped and scored 20 of his game-high 25 points to give the Spartans a double-digit lead late. Highland Park came back in the final minutes, but SPA was able to make their free throws to secure the ten point victory.
The Spartans are back in action in the new year on Thursday, January 3, at home as they take on St. Croix Prep at 7 p.m. Go Spartans!
