Congratulations to 13 Upper School photography students who were honored this fall for their work in the 201-18 school year. First up: Six SPA students won awards in the K-12 photography competition at the Minnesota State Fair. Their work will be on display in the Education building until Labor Day.
Minnesota State Fair | K-12 Photography Competition:
Lori Li '20 - 1st place ribbon & 4th place ribbon
Victoria Greeman '20 - 2nd place ribbon
Libby Cohen '20 - 3rd place ribbon & 4th place ribbon
Elea Besse '19 - 1st place ribbon & two 2nd place ribbons
Annie Kristal '19 - 2nd place ribbon & two 3rd place ribbons
Ethan Dincer '19 - 1st place ribbon & 3rd place ribbon
Additionally, several SPA photography students received the highest recognition awarded by Working Assumptions, a photography education organization based in Berkeley, CA, for their "work x family" images. For this assignment, students were asked to explore points of intersection between work and family in their lives through photography. Winners were awarded a $50 cash prize and their work was included in Working Assumption's permanent image archive.
