On Thursday, October 26, SPA boys' and girls' cross country competed in the Section 4A Championships for the opportunity to compete at the MSHSL State Meet. Overall, the boys' team placed 11th of 18 teams at the meet held at Battle Creek Park and were led by Ethan Less (18:27) and Jonah Spencer (18:38). The girls' team finished in third place with 96 points, missing qualifying for State as a team by just 14 points. Individually, senior Flann Enneking-Norton placed second in 19:26 and sophomore Maddy Breton placed 6th in 20:20. Both times were good enough to qualify the pair for the State Meet as individuals.

The MSHSL Class A State Cross Country Meet will be held at St. Olaf College in Northfield, MN on Saturday, November 4, at 1:00 p.m. Good luck, Flann and Maddy!
