Rubicon and Iris: Art + Lit magazine named CSPA Crown Finalists
alex

At the end of October, Columbia Scholastic Press Association (CSPA) announced the 2020 Crown Award Finalists and we are proud to congratulate SPA's Iris: Art + Lit magazine and The Rubicon/rubiconline.com!

The Crown Awards honor top student publications chosen from CSPA’s members.  Crowns are selected for overall excellence in a head-to-head comparison. During Crown consideration, publications are judged on their excellence as shown by their design, photography, concept, coverage, and writing.

Overall, Iris: Art + Lit is the only Minnesota magazine to be named a finalist and is 1 of 63 magazine finalists. The Rubicon is 1 of 97 news finalists out of 1,145 entries, and 1 of 2 student newspapers recognized from Minnesota.

Crown Finalists are winners, not nominees. Some finalists will be announced as Gold Crowns; the rest are Silver Crowns. Final results will be announced and presented at the CSPA ceremonies in March 2020.
