Summer and Enrichment Programs

St. Paul Academy and Summit School offers a wide range of academic, athletics, and arts enrichment programs. The Beyond the Classroom program offers enrichment for students and adults during the school year; and the Summer at SPA program offers enrichment workshops, athletic camps, and affiliate programs during the summer months.

Beyond the classroom

Beyond the Classroom provides enrichment opportunities for SPA students, parents, alumni/ae, and other members of the SPA community during the school year, outside of regular school hours.  Current Beyond the Classroom offerings are listed below.

Singapore Math Institute

St. Paul Academy and Summit School is very pleased to once again host its Singapore Math Institute at the school's Randolph Campus on July 14-16, 2020. This summer, we will offer both a one-day workshop for teachers new to Singapore Math, and a two-day workshop for experienced teachers to deepen their practice (and note that new teachers are also welcome to attend these workshop days).  We welcome teachers from any public or private school.

Summer at SPA

Summer at SPA workshops and camps are open to all students, including those who do not attend SPA.

  • Enrichment workshops designed to engage students in grades 3-12 in a wide range of activities. Offerings include workshops in science, engineering/design, moviemaking, creative writing, and much more.

  • Athletic Camps for student-athletes who attend any school in a wide range of sports, including boys' soccer, girls' and boys' basketball, fencing, girls' and boys' hockey, and strength and conditioning.

  • Affiliate summer programs hosted on SPA's campuses include The Minnesota Institute for Talented Youth (MITY) ExplorSchool program is a full-day, two-week summer experience for students entering grades 5-7 who are motivated and in search of exciting intellectual challenges; and the Twin Cities Theater Camp (previously known as CAMP!), a five-week intensive theater day camp for children ages 7-15, led by and showcasing some of the best performing arts talent in the Twin Cities. Details and registration will be available in January 2020.
