Girls' soccer wins IMAC Conference Championship

With a 3-1 double-overtime victory on September 28 against Minnehaha Academy, SPA's girls' varsity soccer team was crowned IMAC Conference Champions, wrapping up their conference schedule with a 6-1-1 conference record and a stellar 9-1-1 record overall.

"This is a phenomenal victory for not only our team but our entire SPA soccer community," says Head Coach Paul Armstrong. "I am extremely proud of this group's overall grit and tenacity," adds Armstrong, who is in his first year with the Spartans. "We fought as a team for the entire game. This is a total team win, a championship effort."

With four games left in the regular season before section play begins, Armstrong says that the Spartans are focused on continuous, daily improvement, remaining healthy, and continuing to play for one another. The Spartans are back in action for SPA's Homecoming game at 4:30 p.m. on Friday, October, 1 at home against Lakes International Language Academy. Go Spartans!
