Three Middle School math team members advance to MATHCOUNTS Chapter Invitational

Congratulations to Middle School students Arlo Zirps '25, Theo Su '25, and Trevor Hou '26 whose scores in the MATHCOUNTS South Capitol Chapter Competition on February 5 qualified them for the Chapter Invitational on Thursday, February 25! Qualifiers were either the top-scoring student from their school or placed in the top 20% of the chapter.

At the Chapter Invitational, each student will compete virtually and solely as an individua, and the competition will consist of two rounds: the Sprint Round, which focuses on speed and accuracy, and theTarget Round, which focuses on problem-solving and mathematical reasoning.

Good luck to all three students as they compete for a chance to go to the state MATHCOUNTS tournament — Go Spartans!
