The Columbia Scholastic Press Association (CSPA) announced their 2025 Crown Award Winners this week, and The Rubicon (led by Editor's-in-Chief Claire Kim '24 and Orion Kim '24, and Director of RubicOnline Clara McKoy '24) was honored with a 2025 CSPA Hybrid News Crown. SPA has won a CSPA Crown consistently since 2015, making this one a milestone: 10 crowns in 10 years.
Crowns are selected for overall excellence in a head-to-head comparison. During Crown consideration, publications are judged for the strength of their outward-facing policies, publication mission and values statements, and level of press freedom.
The Finalists will learn of their final results in the competition in March 2025 when Gold Crowns and Silver Crowns will be named.
