Spartan Cross Country finishes eleventh overall at the Class AA State Meet

On Saturday, November 1, St. Paul Academy and Summit School sent the Girls Varsity Cross Country team to the Class AA State meet at the University of Minnesota Golf Course. The team placed 11th overall and had two top 100 finishes: Sophie Kannapiran ‘28 (82) and Alyda Overgaard ‘28 (89). Other SPA runners had great success, including Maren Overgaard '26 (101), Paloma Good '27 (113), Leah Passe '26 (114), Isla Kim '30 (134), and Elisabeth Hilton '30 (135).

Additionally, we want to congratulate Head Coach Ben Bollinger Danielson who was tabbed as the Section 3AA Head Girls Cross Country Coach of the Year. Ben was joined in his efforts by wonderful and dedicated assistant coaches Stuart Arey, Andy Hueller, and Kristen Piehl (all faculty), Rob Donnelly (a coach of 20 years), and Tommy Allen, an SPA graduate from the class of 2020.

Congratulations to all on another great Cross Country season!
