Spartan Girls' Soccer Heads to State for the Fourth Year in a Row

Wednesday, October 15 was a day for the Spartan history books as the St. Paul Academy and Summit School girls' soccer team was crowned Section 3A champions for the fourth year in a row, punching a ticket to the Class A State Soccer Tournament. The #1-seeded girls' beat #2-seeded St. Croix Lutheran 5-0 with goals from Ellie Whitcomb '29 (2), Lucia Gonzalez '26 (2), and Elizabeth Tuttle '26 (1).

The girls capped off their 11-5-2 regular season with the #1 seed in Section 3A. They marched through section competition, defeating Hiawatha Collegiate 6-0 in the quarterfinals and Visitation 2-0 in the semifinals, setting up the championship game against St. Croix Lutheran. The State Tournament begins October 21-23.
