Congratulations to the RubicOnline, SPA's online student newspaper, which has been named a 2021 Distinguished Site by School Newspapers Online (SNO)!
The SNO Distinguished Sites recognition program awards online newspapers badges for each of the standards they have identified as necessary for an online publication to excel. The six badges publications can earn are: continuous coverage badge, site excellence badge, story page excellence badge, excellence in writing badge, multimedia badge, and audience engagement badge. Once a site earns all six badges, it will be awarded the honor of being an "SNO Distinguished Site" for the calendar year.
As of now, SPA is one of 17 schools in the nation to earn 2021 Distinguished Site, and the first independent school in Minnesota. This is RubicOnline's sixth straight year earning the top level of excellence in websites.
