Each spring, students studying French participate in the Le Grand Concours National French Contest sponsored by the American Association of Teachers of French. This year, French students in Middle School Level 1B through Upper School Advanced French took this written test, competing against over 47,000 students across the country with similar levels of French. The exam tests students’ listening comprehension, grammar, and vocabulary in French. It is recognized as the toughest test one could take in French, and getting a medal is a tremendous achievement.
