Kathleen Bishop '20 earns Athena Award for athletic and academic excellence

Congratulations to Kathleen Bishop '20 who was recently selected to receive the St. Paul Area Athena Award. Kathleen is a three-sport athlete in volleyball, hockey, and softball, and recently committed to playing DI volleyball at Princeton University.

The Athena Awards honor and celebrate senior, female student-athletes from public and independent schools in the Twin Cities or their athletic achievements. This award is based on a student's dedication, excellence, and outstanding achievement in individual and team sports. Forty-four student-athletes were recognized this year.

Unfortunately, due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, the 2020 St. Paul Area Athena Awards luncheon scheduled for Wednesday, April 22 has been canceled. The Athena Committee, however, has chosen to recognize this year's honorees with a special acknowledgment page on the Athena Award website, which features specially created LifeTouch posters for each student-athlete, the intended speech of this year's keynote speaker, Margaret H. Chutich, Associate Justice of the Minnesota Supreme Court, and a message from emcee Randy Shaver of KARE11.

Congratulations, Kathleen!
