Inga Wing '25 takes third at State Nordic Championships, team places ninth overall

SPA's girls' Nordic team had a great performance at the Minnesota State Nordic Championship meet, held on Thursday, March 11, at Giant's Ridge.

Eighth-grader Inga Wing '25 (pictured) led the team with a fantastic third-place finish overall. Cross-country ski blog Skinnyski.com called Inga's performance "the surprise of the day, the eighth grader climbing onto the podium in third!"  Inga's eighth-grade classmate Helen Townley '25 also placed in the top thirty with a 29th place finish. Overall the team placed ninth, and individual finishes included Taylor Barkwell ’25 (80th), Sara Browne ’21 (156th), Sila Liljedahl '23 (158th), Maren Overgaard '26 (131st), and Marie Schumacher ’22 (149th). See full individual results here and team results here.

Congratulations to the entire team on a great season and go Spartans!
