Girls' Nordic Skiing wins IMAC Conference & Sprint Relay Championship, Eleanor Mody '27 named Individual Conference Champ

Congratulations to SPA's girls' nordic ski team which won the IMAC Conference Championship on Wednesday, January 29 at Theodore Wirth Park.

The victory was a true team effort for the Spartans who secured first place after claiming the top two spots on the podium. SPA was led by Eleanor Mody '27 who placed first and was also named the 2025 Girls' IMAC Champion! Other scoring skiers in the top 10 included Sophie Kannapiran '28 in 2nd place, Paloma Good '27 in 5th place, and Alyda Overgaard '28 in 6th place. See the full results here.

In the team relays, SPA captured first place in the girls' events and second place in the boys' event. Congratulations to the teams of Maren Overgaard '26/Inga Wing '25 and Darien Hull '28/Sam Hilton '27. See the full results here.

This championship performance comes after the girls' nordic ski team won the IMAC Conference Sprint Relay Championship on Wednesday, January 22. The Spartans secured first place in the sprint relay events after sweeping the top three spots on the podium. SPA was led by the team of Mody/Wing, who placed first, followed by Maren and Alyda Overgaard (2nd place), and Elisabeth Hilton '30/Good (3rd place). On the boys' side, Hull/Hilton finished in 6th place. "This is the best skiing I have seen this season from every athlete on the team," says Head Coach Max Lundgren. "Training going into our conference season has been really smooth, and we are excited to build on this in preparation for the section meet."
