For the fifth year in a row, SPA's online student newspaper RubicOnline has been selected as a finalist for the Pacemaker Awards.
The Pacemaker is a program of the National Scholastic Press Association (NSPA) and is known as "the Pulitzer Prize" of student journalism. This year, RubicOnline, SPA's online student newspaper, is one of 28 scholastic news sites from 12 states to be named to the prestigious competition of which 185 sites entered content.
Pacemaker entries are judged by teams of professionals based on coverage and content, quality of writing and reporting, leadership, design, photography, and graphics. The contests are open to any NSPA member publication. Entries must have been published or broadcast during the dates specified on each entry form.
This year's Pacemaker awards will be announced at the 2020 JEA/NSPA National Convention in Nashville, Tennessee on April 18.
Congratulations to the RubicOnline staff!
