Careers

For educators who are committed to their craft, St. Paul Academy and Summit School is an exceptional community of faculty, staff, students, and families. Faculty and staff in all three divisions are surrounded by bright and curious students, stellar colleagues, a supportive and engaged community, and a warm and welcoming school culture. Our faculty and staff are at the heart of our mission: shaping the minds and the hearts of the people who will change the world.

our DEIB commitment

SPA is committed to diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging (DEIB) for every employee, student, and family, regardless of race, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, socioeconomic status, ability, home or first language, religion, national origin, or age. your career at spa

SPA is more than just a place to work: it's a community defined by a shared belief in the power of teaching and learning. This includes supporting and developing our faculty in their careers as educators, as members of the SPA community, and as members of the larger community of Minneapolis/St. Paul.

Benefits Overview

SPA offers a robust and generous benefits package. Below is an overview of the signature pieces of our benefits package for full-time employees.

Health and Dental Benefits: Medical coverage is provided to all eligible employees through HealthPartners, and dental coverage is offered through HealthPartners. Plans are available for both single and dependent coverage, and employees and eligible dependents are covered on the first day of the month following the first day of work. The medical plan is a high deductible health plan which partners with a Health Savings Account. SPA also offers a flexible benefit plan that allows employees to set aside pre-tax dollars to cover eligible medical and dependent care expenses through payroll deductions.

Retirement: In partnership with TIAA, SPA offers a defined contribution retirement plan that is funded by the School (7%) and a mandatory employee contribution (2%). SPA will also match up to an additional 3% of the employee’s voluntary contributions. Employees may also be eligible to build retirement income through a 403(b) program.

Tuition Remission: SPA provides 80% tuition remission for biological and legally adopted children of full-time employees or pro-rated tuition remission to part-time employees who work at least 50% time, and children for whom such employees are court-appointed legal guardians. There is no financial aid application necessary; all prospective students must qualify to attend St. Paul Academy and Summit School in the same manner required by other prospective students.

Additional benefits include insurance programs for life, disability, home, and auto insurance; a robust Employee Assistance Program; discounts on health club memberships and local events; a parental leave program for mothers, fathers, partners, and adoptive parents; and complimentary before- and after-school care for employee children who attend SPA.
