The Family Connection website, from Naviance, is a comprehensive and customized resource for SPA families. It contains current activities and advice from the college counselors, “Updates” on current topics for each class; “Links” to helpful websites for college search, testing, applications and financial aid, a Document Library of materials from SPA, as well as Career Search tools, Learning Style Inventory, “Do What You Are” personality inventory, and student resume tools. Students use the College List and Research tools to organize their search and compare admission results for SPA students against institutional data for each college.
A complete College Counseling Workbook provides juniors with detailed advice and guidance on each step of the college search and application process. These materials are also posted online in Family Connection.
