SPA will be closed Tuesday, January 23, due to the snow and hazardous driving conditions. Please note that school will be closed entirely on Tuesday, including all classes, athletics, and extracurricular activities. We do not make this decision lightly. Like you, we would much prefer our students to be in school, but today’s extreme weather makes travel unsafe for everyone.
Thank you for your understanding, and please stay safe.

adventure kids program
For many families, a typical weekday doesn't begin at 8 a.m. or end at 3 p.m. Many Lower School parents need supervised care both before and after school hours for their children, and SPA offers a comprehensive program for extended-day care on either a full-time or part-time basis.
Complimentary morning care is offered each weekday morning to all Lower School families. Students in Grades K-5 may attend before-school care free of charge every morning, including late-start Wednesdays, beginning at 7 a.m. until classes begin for the day. Before school care is supervised by staff members who are committed to providing a fun, caring, and safe setting for students. The program is held in the Activity Room on the ground floor of the Goodrich Campus, with direct access to the playground and outdoor playing fields.
The after-school program provides students with a relaxing and nurturing space after classes are over for the day until 6 p.m. This is a fee-based program; parents may enroll for care for one, two, three, four, or all five days after school. The program is held in the Activity Room on the ground floor of the Goodrich Campus, with direct access to the playground and outdoor playing fields. After-school care is not a high-powered enrichment program. It is less structured than the regular school day, offering a variety of mixed-age group activities, as well as quiet time for homework, independent reading, and games. Outdoor play throughout the seasons, including sledding and ice skating during the winter, is encouraged for all children. The program is supervised by staff members who are committed to providing a fun, caring, and safe setting.
On days when school is open but there are no classes (such as Parent/Teacher Conference Days or Faculty Professional Days) a full-day care program is offered for Lower School students, from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. The Full-Day Program is fee-based and often includes a field trip, as well as outdoor play, games, and crafts.
