Boys' soccer puts together convincing 3-1 win over Providence
Posted 09/06/2017 10:45AM

On Tuesday, September 5, junior captain Eric Lagos '19 led the Spartans to a convincing home win against Providence Academy.

The first half was a wash for the IMAC rivals who exchanged several chances on both ends of the field. In the second half, however, the Spartans came alive and found the back of the net for three goals (Lagos 2, Zukowski 1). The Lions snuck one past Spartan goalkeeper Ryan Moore '19, but it wouldn't be enough to take down the home team. The final score was 3-1.

Next up: The Spartans will continue in conference play on Thursday, September 7 when they travel to McKnight Stadium to take on Breck. Kickoff is at 7:30 p.m. -- Go Spartans!
