SPA junior and Rubicon staffer Ibad Jafri ’13 has won top honors in the 2012 Guthrie Theater Review Writing contest.

As part of the contest, Ibad and other student journalists from around the Twin Cities spent the day at The Guthrie touring the facility, participating in a roundtable luncheon with a theater critic for the Star Tribune, attending a performance of the Guthrie’s Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, and then writing and submitting a review of the show on a 24 hour deadline.
