The St. Paul Academy and Summit School Board of Trustees consists of volunteers selected from the school community. They include alumni/ae, parents and other community leaders.
The Board of Trustees is legally responsible for the school, including its mission statement, all of its policies and its finances. The Board hires and evaluates the Head of School, contributes financially to the institution and sets the strategic agenda of the school. The Board votes on an annual budget, which includes setting tuition, establishing fundraising goals and reviewing expenses associated with operating the school.
New members are chosen by sitting trustees and may serve for up to nine years. The members elect officers, including the president, vice-president(s), treasurer, assistant treasurer and secretary. Officers may serve for an additional six years for a total of 15 years. Trustees who have served the full 15 years may be re-elected after at least a one-year hiatus.
